Smangus has been located in the mountain of Beipu, Hsinchu County from 1982. It’s from my grandfather that we have dedicated ourselves to make high quality furniture manually. As the years passed, we have kept on finding out one good way to combine traditional craft and creative ideas. Smangus—a new brand, which is based on traditional wood craft, uses natural wood as its materials and adds modern artistry into its design—is what we present now.

The origin: in about 1950 my grandfather started making windows and farm tools such as rakes and plows in the village.
